Corinne C. Jozwick

ATTORNEY

Corinne Jozwick is an experienced litigator and trial attorney. She concentrates her practice in professional liability defense, primarily in the areas of medical and dental malpractice. She also advocates for medical, dental, and other non-medical professionals to resolve licensing board complaints filed with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies. She has extensive experience in helping clients obtain professional licenses, and has assisted those who have needs regarding self-reporting, re-application due to licensure lapse, or who otherwise may be facing any form of discipline with DORA. Corinne is also well-versed in licensing board complaint resolution, pre-trial case resolution under the Colorado Candor Act, and other areas of alternative dispute resolution.

Coming to Childs McCune from a background of general commercial civil litigation, Corinne is a well-rounded attorney who serves as an advocate in the state, federal, and appellate court systems. Prior to joining Childs McCune, Corinne gained litigation, jury trial, and bench trial experience in diverse areas, including business and commercial litigation, real property, real estate, mortgage lending/servicing, and business/contracts disputes. She enjoys all aspects of litigation and has worked with a diverse array of clients in this and previous roles, leading her to be a well-rounded attorney who can aid clients in a variety of legal needs.

Prior to moving to Colorado in 2016, Corinne practiced at a civil litigation firm in Chicago, Illinois, and attended Michigan State University College of Law. There, Ms. Jozwick competed and placed in over ten national moot court competitions, earned a seat in the prestigious Geoffrey Fieger Trial Practice Institute, and was awarded the Bernard J. Fieger Scholarship and Eve August Moot Court Scholarship for her excellence and promise in trial advocacy. She served as a teaching assistant for research, writing, analysis and advocacy courses, and held numerous legal internships and positions during and prior to attending law school, in addition to serving as a Managing Editor for the Michigan State University Law Review.

Throughout her legal practice, Corinne has volunteered at numerous moot court competitions and academic outreach programs for law students. She serves as an at-large council member of the Colorado Bar Associations’ Health Law section, an active member of the Denver Bar Association’s Docket committee, participates with the Litigation and Appellate sections of the Colorado Bar Association, and is always seeking new opportunities to get involved in the legal community and academia, particularly in legal writing and trial advocacy.

In addition to her legal practice, and as a former Division 1 track and field athlete at the University of Portland, Ms. Jozwick continues to enjoy all aspects of fitness, including snowboarding, hiking and weightlifting. She also enjoys travel, reading, and exploring new restaurants. Her favorite part about Denver is cheering for the Colorado Avalanche with her husband and new dog, Widget.
