In honor of wellness week, our team took off early on a Thursday afternoon to attend a Rockies Game.
Childs McCune is a strong supporter of the Colorado Women’s Bar Association (CWBA). Recently, we were proud to be sponsor of the CWBA’s annual convention in May 2022. Among other things, at the convention, we helped organize and sponsor a panel of esteemed women in the legal community, who shared their successes and challenges about their individual journeys.
The CWBA is the largest diversity bar association in Colorado and is one of the biggest and most influential women’s bar associations in the country. The CWBA even has its own lobbyist to promote the rights of women and children in Colorado.
The CWBA’s mission has remained the same since its inception in 1978: to promote women in the legal profession and the interests of women generally. The vision of the CWBA’s founders has resulted in decades of work promoting gender equality in the legal profession, preserving history, influencing legislation related to women and children, mentoring, granting scholarships for women law students through the CWBA Foundation, fighting discrimination, influencing the selection of judges, and providing training and education.
We are proud of our member Karin Williamson for serving as an Ad Hoc Representative and a planning committee member for the successful 45th Annual Convention in Beaver Creek on May 20-22, 2022. https://www.cwba.org/boardofdirectors

This success builds upon her nearly 10-year career as an accomplished Colorado State Public Defender, where she gained recognition defending 65 trials to verdict.
A significant portion of Karin’s practice is devoted to defending professionals against malpractice and administrative complaints. She also defends clients in premises liability litigation and advises companies on avoiding claims. Karin is active in the Colorado Women’s Bar Association, teaches professionals across the state, and still finds time to be a loving mother and wife.
