We are proud to announce that our firm, formerly known as Childs McCune, will now be known as Childs McCune Michalek. This evolution reflects our deep appreciation for Steve Michalek’s steadfast leadership and invaluable contributions to the firm.

Steve has been a pillar of Childs McCune—a trusted advisor, respected litigator, and dedicated colleague. His commitment to excellence and relentless work ethic have shaped the firm’s culture and elevated our service to clients across Colorado and Wyoming.

In tandem with this exciting new chapter, Childs McCune Michalek is also moving to the 24th floor of the iconic Cash Register Building in downtown Denver. This landmark building is a symbol of both Denver’s rich history and its bright future, aligning with our vision for the firm’s growth. The new location marks a significant milestone in our modernization efforts, ensuring that we continue evolving to meet the region’s legal needs—while honoring our roots through a culture of professionalism, inclusion, and service to the community.

After serving on the Colorado Women’s Bar Association (CWBA) Board for two years as co-chair of mentorship/membership committees, Karin Williamson is returning as co-chair of the CWBA’s DEI committee for the 2024/2025 board year.  This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact in the community.  Karin’s enthusiasm and willingness to share her personal and professional experiences will surely contribute to creating a more inclusive environment.

Childs McCune is excited to congratulate member Karin Williamson for being chosen as a member in the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (“FDCC”).  The FDCC is a professional trade association of vetted and premier defense and corporate counsel, as well as industry executives dedicated to leading the profession by advancing the principles of integrity, professionalism, fair civil justice, intellectual capital, and fostering the trust and value of fellowship and referrals to FDCC peers.

Childs McCune is proud to announce that Mark Fogg was appointed by Chief Justice Brian D. Boatright to serve as a Commissioner on the State Commission of Judicial Performance.  The Commission develops the rules governing commissions on judicial performance and evaluates the performance of Supreme Court Justices and Court of Appeals Judges.
